It's unbearable pain!!!!!?

For the past couple weeks I thought I might have an internal hemorrhoid because at first my anus itched really bad, then it just started to hurt every time I tried to make a bm. Well I got cream and wipes hoping it would clear the problem up. But, it has only gotten worse. I can't even go to the bathroom it hurts so bad. Kind of like I'm splitting open. (This is going to be TMI) So, I took a mirror and looked and I really am split open! It's about a inch or more split leading from my anus. I'm not sure if hemorrhoids cause this but it hurts so bad I can't bare to even go to the bathroom. Is this normal? Is there anything to ease the pain? Please help! I'm sure your going to say go to the doctor, but I really find it embarrassing that my butt is split and they would have to examine me.
