Hemorrhoids after giving birth?

I gave birth 7 months ago I had a really bad case of hemorrhoids at my 6 week check up the doctor said it should go away. After 6 months went by my hemorrhoids went away completely but I have excess skin on the outside of my anus . Do i need to have surgery to have it removed?? Can hemorrhoids strech out your skin ??? It makes me feel cautious when my and my boyfriend have sex from behind. HELP!
